Authoritative In-Vehicle Emergency Warnings — Delivered When They Matter Most

Every day, emergency responders race against time. Ambulances rush to cardiac arrests. Fire trucks respond to structure fires. Police units navigate chaotic intersections at speed. And every day, the gap between a siren and a driver's awareness creates dangerous, preventable conflicts.

Emergency Vehicle Alert exists to close that gap.

The Problem We Solve

Modern vehicles are quieter, better insulated, and loaded with audio systems that drown out the world outside. Add headphones, in-car entertainment, and the reality of an aging driver population, and the result is a collision risk that traditional sirens and lights simply cannot overcome. Studies show that 70% of emergency vehicle crashes occur at intersections - the exact moment when drivers fail to yield right-of-way in time.

The warning technology that protects our first responders hasn't kept pace with the roads they drive. Sirens are 19th-century tools trying to solve a 21st-century problem.

EVA is the solution.

What Emergency Vehicle Alert Does

EVA is a mobile-first public safety platform that delivers real-time, agency-authorized proximity alerts directly to drivers - inside the vehicle, on the device they already have, in the moment it matters most.

When an emergency vehicle goes Code 3, authorized responders activate EVA with a single tap. From that moment, the system continuously transmits live GPS location data to the EVA cloud every one to three seconds. Nearby drivers with the EVA app receive an instant alert: a visual banner, a haptic vibration, and approximate distance and direction - all before they could ever hear a siren.

When the run ends, the alerts stop. No noise. No fatigue. No spam.

Three Apps. One Unified Platform.

Agency App — For Responders

Police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel activate Code Active on their authorized department device when responding to an emergency. The app securely authenticates the user and device, then broadcasts vehicle position in real time. When the call is complete, a single tap ends the broadcast. No hardware installation required. No CAD integration complexity. It works on the mobile devices your team already carries.

Driver App — Free for the Public

Available for free on iOS and Android, the EVA driver app is built around one principle: intelligent restraint. Alerts only activate when the app detects the user is actively driving, using speed and motion pattern recognition. Parked drivers, people at home, and pedestrians receive nothing. When an active emergency vehicle enters a dynamic 0.25 to 1.0 mile alert radius, the driver receives a clear, calm notification with direction and distance context. The app supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for hands-free, eyes-up awareness in the vehicle.

Admin Console — For Department Management

Agency administrators manage device authorization, monitor active units, review incident history, and control billing - all from a secure web-based dashboard. Adding or revoking access takes seconds. No IT department required.

How the Technology Works

EVA is built on enterprise-grade, serverless cloud infrastructure designed to scale to millions of simultaneous users with near-zero latency.

  • Real-Time Location Broadcasting: Agency vehicles transmit GPS position via AWS cloud, enabling sub-second propagation to nearby drivers.
  • Geohash-Based Spatial Indexing: EVA uses precision geohash spatial indexing to efficiently route alerts to only the drivers who need them - no broadcasting to entire cities, no unnecessary load.
  • Dynamic Alert Radius:The proximity threshold expands and contracts based on vehicle speed, ensuring highway drivers get earlier warning while city drivers aren't over-alerted.
  • Radius-First Detection with Directional Urgency: Every driver within the configured radius receives an alert. Direction and heading data tune the priority and severity of the notification but never suppress a valid near-field warning.
  • Driving Mode Intelligence: Proprietary motion detection prevents alerts from firing when a device is stationary, eliminating the notification fatigue that kills adoption in competing products.
  • Privacy by Design: EVA collects no personally identifiable information from drivers. Location data is anonymous, ephemeral, and never stored for public users.

Built for the Agencies That Need It Most

The enterprise emergency alerting market has long served large metropolitan departments with complex, expensive platform integrations. EVA was purpose-built for everyone else.

We serve the 62,000 police departments, fire stations, and EMS providers across the United States - the vast majority of which are small to mid-sized agencies protecting communities of 5,000 to 250,000 people. With transparent SaaS pricing, no hardware requirements, and a 60-to-90-day no-cost pilot program, EVA eliminates every barrier to adoption that has kept smaller departments from accessing modern alerting technology.

The more agencies that deploy EVA, the more value every driver receives. The network grows, safety improves, and the cost per protected life continues to fall.

Why EVA. Why Now.

Smartphones are already in virtually every vehicle in America. Drivers trust app-based navigation, real-time traffic, and mobile alerts. The infrastructure for mass public adoption exists today. What was missing was an authoritative, intelligent, restraint-first alerting system that agencies could deploy without enterprise IT, and that drivers would actually keep installed.

That is exactly what EVA delivers.

Responding faster. Yielding safer. Protecting the people who protect us.
